Circle vs BeReal: Moving Beyond Performative Daily Alarms

BeReal attempted to solve social media artificiality by forcing users to post unedited photos at a randomized daily alarm. However, this often creates mundane repetition and anxiety around missing the notification.

Circle approaches authenticity through intentional curation rather than randomized urgency. Instead of taking a rushed snapshot of your laptop screen, Circle empowers you to assemble thoughtful Collections (Collections) combining Apple Music playlists, secret neighborhood spots, and reflections over days or weeks.

Authenticity comes from sharing what truly inspires you, not responding to a countdown timer. Circle gives you back your digital pace. Make something Wonderful.
